Archive for sci fi

In my interest I’m very eclectic. I enjoy, movies, (sci-fi, drama, comedy, action, chick flicks) reading, (sci-fi, fantasy, non-fiction) bowling, theater, dinning out and shopping. I’m a big NPR fan (this American Life and Wait Wait don’t tell me). I’m also a big fan of video games, and TV (I watch a lot of cartoons). I’m not a big fan of clubs or bars but I can go to them sometimes just to people watch. I don’t Looking for fun people - m4m (Chesire Bridge) 33yr drink, smoke or do drugs. (Shocker!!!)

I’m looking for some good down to earth people for just friends in the Atlanta area. I am gay but not just looking for gay guys for friends. I’m really laid back and easy going. I have what I’m told is a good sense of humor. I’m just looking to widen my friend base.

In other people I’m looking for someone that can enjoy a good mix of intellectual and mind numbing activities. I like folks that can carry a conversation but not dominate it. I enjoy genuine, not overly complicated, unique people. Open to friends of all races and genders. If I could find some gay gamers to play with that would be cool (PSP, PS2, Xbox original, Xbox 360).

I’m a pretty nice guy so feel free to hit me up and we’ll go from there.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Hi Guys:

Let me tell you a little about myself and what I’m looking for in a friend.

My interests are varied and many. I live in the city and partake in all the amenities city living has to offer. However, I have a fondness for country living and the great outdoors. I like farming, gardening and pretty much anything botanical. Someday I hope to have a small farm where I can raise livestock and have a big vegetable garden. I like to cook and love to eat. An evening dining at home with friends is great fun for me. I also like to try new restaurants and different cuisines. In fact, I’m always up for trying new things of any sort.

I like classic old movies, thought-provoking science fiction, and light-hearted comedy. I’m not much on today’s icons, and have little or no interest in what goes on in Hollywood. I don’t often watch TV, but when I do, I enjoy the Discovery, History, Sci-Fi, and Travel channels.

I’m not a big sports fan. So, if it means a lot to you that you hang with someone who lives and breathes sports, I’m not him. Somehow, in all my years, I just haven’t been able to understand the whole sports thing that borders on religious fanaticism. Perhaps if the players wore less clothing, or better yet, went completely naked, I could be persuaded to develop an interest.

I’m easy to talk to, a great listener, and have quite a bit to say, once I warm up to you. I can happily spend hours with someone I like, listening, talking, or not saying a word. I drink on social occasions, don’t smoke or do drugs. I’ve got loads of common sense, blessed with excellent health, and built like a brick house (in need of a few minor repairs). I’m affectionate, handsome, soft spoken, playful and polite with a great sense of humor and positive outlook. I’m a man with heart, masculine, charming, and comfortable with who I am.

As a friend, I’m loyal and honest and expect the same from friends I choose to keep close. I’m looking for guys that are down-to-earth with common sense and positive outlooks. Ones that favor loving hearts over career achievements. I’m especially fond of men with integrity and honor. Traditional values such as consideration for others, and good manners mean a lot to me. I relate best to masculine men my own age, with similar ideals. Ideally, I would like to find someone as interested in farming as I am. If you’re Southern, and like to farm, I’d love to make your acquaintance.

Interested? Drop me a line!

Warm regards,

Steve

The days where Geeks actually find another geek through non-geek friends are no where being close to reality. Until recently, I always assumed that others like myself will go to bars, sporting events, clubs,etc.. to find someone with similar interests(Gaming, Sci-fi, technology, comics, photography, movies, bowling, etc..).

Granted that in I have friends of all types, but in today’s reality all my woman friends only care about Wanted: Female Geeks! Is this even a possible combination? - m4w (Lakemoor) 29yr themselves and their boyfriends. It is becoming very difficult to meet woman through the friends circle.

So with this rant coming to an end, where are all the single female geeks hanging out?

About me: Yes I am an average male who has some flaws (at least in others eyes). I am 5’7”, 200lbs and working on loosing a good 20 of those. I am interested in many of things, but due to lack of interest of other friends, I do not do a majority of them. My biggest downfall, but yet my best asset is my personality. I can be very quite with nothing to say, but yet the biggest rambler. I am a listener and not a talker. This creates the biggest challenge of creating the relaxed environment when chatting with women in places that they have at least 10 others that have already tried. Its not that I fear talking, but fear the silence of nothing being said.
